Let me explain. Big Brother isn't just a show you can watch the three episodes a week, it's a show that you have to daily keep up with too. Reading blogs and knowing what's going on all day every day. Knowing strategy of the house guests. Coming up with strategy in your own mind so your favorites will make it another week. This is the best way to spend a summer!!
Okay, so you don't get why I'm obsessed with this reality show. Let's start with these reasons:
1. It's actually LIVE. Yes, you heard me. At any time during the next three months, I can log onto CBS.com and buy the live feeds (I haven't yet, and I don't know that I will this year either) to see what is actually happening that very moment. Yes, I could log on and see them sleeping. Or I could log on to the best strategizing session yet! Either way, the fact that it's actually live is what makes this show extra fascinating to me.
2. The strategizing. It's not just a show of live in a house together and each week one person goes home. No, it's a show where strategy plays a part in the entire game. Who to align with. Who to beat in competitions. Who to pick for competitions. Who to stab in the back...yeah, it's Big Brother...it's going to happen. When to throw a competition. When to win Head of Household and when not to. Who to vote into jury house so they will still give you a vote if you end up in the final two. Yes, there's way more to this show than most people ever realize.
3. The house guests. What's fascinating about each season of Big Brother is the house guests they choose. Of course they are going to pick dynamic personalities so that people will watch and be intrigued all summer long. But it's getting to know these house guests that fascinating. Over 3 months, they break down and you really see the real person inside and not just the person they are trying to let the camera's see....because the camera's see everything. But usually there's always one contestant you can relate to more than any other. And you could see yourself in them. So when they do crazy things, you can see how people would perceive you if you did things like that too.
4. Diary Room. This is the best part of the entire show. Where you see where each house guest really stands. Who they are really aligned with. Who they are planning to stab in the back the second they get the chance. And of course, this is the one place you don't get to see on the live feeds. So it's even more exciting to watch the shows for these moments.
5. It's on three nights a week. Yes, to people that don't like this show, that's too much. But for us that LOVE this show, it's just perfect. You never have to wonder what's going on because it's time for yet another show!
I hope I'll have some other people watching this season so we can strategize together! That's just as much fun as actually watching the show!
