Monday Morning Motivation

My friend, Alicia, invited me to her church yesterday for Bluegrass Sunday.  It was so good.  Some good ole bluegrass gospel music!  But in the service, the preacher said the same thing several times.  I don't have the exact quote, but I'm going to paraphrase.  He said that even though we may be excited about our next step, we will be met by people who aren't excited for us.  But that doesn't mean walking away from your dream.  It just means that sometimes we have to face negativity to get to where God wants us to be. 

Think about that every time someones tells you that you can't achieve your goal.  Think about that next time someone tells you that you aren't good enough.  Think about that when you get told "no" so many times that you don't think there's someone to tell you "yes".  Think about that when your own family and friends don't believe in what your doing.  Think about that when you're ready to throw in the towel. 

Just remember that sometimes God puts obstacles in our way so we can learn to overcome them.  Keep pressing forward to your dreams.  You'll never reach the end result if you give up the minute someone tells you it can't be accomplished.
