$3 Dresser

Several months back I bought this dresser at a yard sale for $3.  The person that sold it to me thought it had mold on it.  After a good cleaning, I realized it wasn't mold, but a pretty good layer of dust.

How did the process work?  The dresser started out like this...

I cleaned it down really well and then went to sanding it.  I'm sure my neighbors were completely confused with what I was doing on my back patio when they saw this...

It was getting a good coat of white paint!

Once I finished with all the painting, this was my finished product.  (Please excuse the TV.  Apparently I'm too cheap to buy a nicer one!  But it still works great!)

I just can't decide if I'm super happy with it solid white.  Do I need some color somewhere on it?  Does it need drawer pulls?  Please give me your suggestions!!!

  1. I'd be super tempted to insert some color/pattern in those squares and rectangles with some fabric. Some cute drawer pulls would look good too.

  2. Ahhh, the piece I've been waiting for ever since you posted it! Looks awesome, girl! I like it the way it is, but a little color couldn't hurt either. Maybe a little turquoise in the little squares? I wouldn't put any handles on it though. Just my 2 cents worth...

You so talented Michelle! Keep up the good work!
